SARMAC XV 2025

Céad mile fáilte (100,000 welcomes)!

The Society for Applied Research in Memory and Cognition held its 15th Biennial Meeting in County Kildare, Ireland, on 11-14th June 2025. The conference venue of Killashee Hotel, a grand Victorian house with acres of gardens and wild woodland trails, is set in the rolling countryside 30km from Ireland's capital city.

SARMAC 2025 welcomed submissions for papers, symposia, or posters in any area of applied or basic research on memory and cognition (e.g., law and investigation, education, engineering, health/medicine, politics, marketing, human factors). Pre-conference workshops, a welcome reception, social events throughout the conference, and a conference dinner were all great hits.

What a great conference venue Killashee turned out to be! We hope you had as fun and informative a time as us. Below are just a handful of the many shots we have received. Enjoy!

Newgrange

A trip was planned to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Brú na Bóinne, Ireland’s richest archaeological landscape situated within a bend in the River Boyne. Brú na Bóinne is famous for the spectacular prehistoric passage tombs of Knowth, Newgrange and Dowth which were built circa 3200BC. These ceremonial structures are among the most important Neolithic sites in the world and contain the largest collection of megalithic art in Western Europe. Below are a few pictures from the day.
