The primary conference hotel is The Fairmont Empress.  The Empress was designed by Francis Rattenbury for Canadian National Hotels and opened in 1908.  This beautiful Edwardian building faces Victoria's Inner Harbour, kitty-corner to the Parliament buildings and next door to the Royal BC Museum of Natural History, and is truly the heart of the city. Unfortunately, there are no more rooms available at the Empress during the conference.

The Marriott Hotel (Victoria Inner Harbour, 728 Humboldt Street) has a block of Deluxe Rooms (Single or Double) available at a guaranteed rate of $229 (+tax) that must be booked before May 22 to obtain this rate.  Other more expensive rooms may be available after that date.  The Marriott is essentially across the street from the Victoria Conference Center.  To book a room at the Marriott at the SARMAC group rate, call toll-free 1-866-306-5451 and request the SARMAC rate  or book online.

The Quality Inn Downtown (850 Blanshard Street) is a nice but smaller and more informal hotel two blocks away from the Victoria Conference Centre.   The Quality Inn provided a SARMAC Conference Rate of $119 (+tax) for Traditional Single or Double Queen rooms.  To obtain the discounted rate, you must call the hotel directly (toll free 1-800-661-4115) and advise the reservations agent that you are attending the SARMAC conference.  Discounts will not be applied to online bookings or through third parties.

Search online for other hotels in the downtown and harbour area: There are a great many others that will serve you well.
