Why you should join SARMAC.
Conference Benefits
Members pay discounted fees for conference attendance, affiliation with other applied memory and cognition researchers - in fact, the discounted registration fee pays for the cost of membership.
Online Resource Library
Members have access to an ever-growing list of resources for teaching, research and grant opportunities. These range from Grants and Fellowships for students, to course syllabi, online demonstrations, and more.
Jobs
Members have access to a list of current jobs in our field.
Members Database
Members also gain access to our SARMAC Members Database - a list of all our members including contact details, research interests and publications. The database provides a great way to encourage collaborations and see who else operates in your field.
Fees & Subscriptions
Effective 2012, the Society's official journal is the Journal of Applied Research in Memory and Cognition. The Journal of Applied Research in Memory and Cognition will be published by Elsevier starting 2012; our founding Editor is Ron Fisher, Florida International University.
Who may join?
The Society has four categories of membership:
Regular members
must be qualified to conduct scientific research on applied issues concerning memory and cognition, and hold a Ph.D. or have equivalent experience.
Second/Family members
can join the Society, provided their partner or spouse qualifies as a regular member.
Students
Graduate and undergraduate - in psychology or related disciplines may apply for student membership.
Affiliates
Individuals who are not students and do not possess the Ph.D. or requisite experience (such as professionals new to this field) can join as Affiliates of the Society.
How do I join?
The membership/renewal procedure consists of three steps:

1) Registration: Please fill in your personal information as instructed;
2) Payment: If you pay by your credit card, you go to PayPal site to pay the membership fee; and
3) Confirmation: After your payment, please click "Return to SARMAC" button to come back to the SARMAC site to complete your registration.

If you are new to SARMAC - start here >
Existing Members (post-2010):
Simply log in and click "Manage my Membership."
Expired Memberships (pre-2010):
Please re-register with the new site - the site will then store your details for future renewals.
Please do not forget to come back to SARMAC site after you pay at PayPal site.
Membership is for the calendar year.
You may apply for membership at any time.
If you were previously a SARMAC member but let your membership lapse, you may have to re-register with our new website to renew your membership.
Uncertain of your membership status?
If you joined the site from 2010 onwards, and you know your password, simply log on. The site will tell you your membership status once you are logged on.
If you have forgotten your password, we can click here to have it emailed to you.
