Given that so many world-class face researchers are converging on Victoria for SARMAC XI, Jim Tanaka has decided to host a pre-conference workshop on applied face recognition.  The "Face Day" workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23rd,  9 AM to noon-ish at the University of Victoria.  The goal of the workshop is to provide face researchers a chance to get to know each other’s work in an informal and friendly setting. Although the exact format will be determined by the number of interested presenters, it is anticipated that people will give short 15- to 20-minute talks, leaving ample time for questions, conversation, and follow-up discussions.

If you are interested in attending or presenting, please send Jim Tanaka an email (jtanaka@uvic.ca).   Presentation space is limited.
