05/06/2012 - Request for Research Proposals

The Center for Law & Human Behavior at the University of Texas at El Paso is releasing a Request for Proposals for researchers interested in studying factors that influence interviewing, interrogation, and credibility assessment in the human intelligence and national security context.  We are particularly interested in scientific approaches that utilize ethnically diverse community participants in both laboratory and translational/applied contexts.  A list of potential topics of interest and details regarding the submission and review process are provided in the attached document.  Questions regarding this RFP can be addressed to Ms. Leonora Ortega at clhb@utep.edu.  The Center anticipates that up to 10 (1-year) research proposals may be awarded, with allocations ranging between $50,000 and $200,000 in total costs.  Proposals must be submitted by 5:00pm (EDT) on Friday, July 13, 2012.
